American Teen – Joseph Szabo

Black-and-white photographs that Joseph Szabo took of his students in the 1970s and 1980s while teaching art and photography on Long Island. The pictures show teenagers smoking, posing, at the beach and at a Rolling Stones concert, capturing adolescence from the view of a trusted outsider. This new edition gathers well-known and unseen images, with texts by Sofia Coppola, who commissioned the book, and Kim Gordon.
