Border-Land-Scapes – Liene Jākobsone (ed.)

What happens to landscapes when defence becomes a defining force? Fences, watchtowers, surveillance systems and military infrastructure are turning borders from lines on a map into physical places. Architects, researchers and artists trace this shift from Latvia's fortified eastern border and damaged ecosystems in Lebanon to protest sites in Tbilisi and gated enclaves in Latin America, and ask what futures these landscapes might allow.
