Our second issue of 2024, Wetter #34, is packed with exciting features and will be available for delivery on July 1, 2024, and in stores on July 4, 2024. This edition marks the second format change in Wetter's history. For early followers, you might remember our nearly square format. Practical reasons later pushed us closer to the classic Din-A4 size. Now, we're going "oversized" as the first step towards a major overhaul of Das Wetter. This will be the last issue released quarterly, with Wetter #35 appearing in over five months. Here's why:

As we approach our eleventh birthday, we aim to renew and question our magazine's identity, exploring changes to keep our work fresh and different. Das Wetter thrives on unpredictability, often incorporating theater, visual arts, and even English texts based on inspiration. We trust our readers to embrace renewal and experimentation, and we hope you're excited about this new journey starting with this issue.

Highlights of the upcoming issue include:

  • Interviews and Features: Meet pop star Domiziana in Berlin-Mitte, actress Lena Klenke in our Berlin print shop and in Cologne, and a detailed conversation with part of the team behind the acclaimed series "Die Zweiflers."
  • International Exploration: On a trip to India, invited by the Goethe-Institut Delhi, Wetter editor Katharina Holzmann and contributors Amelie Kahn-Ackermann, Tanita Olbrich, and Marius Goldhorn brought back interviews, poems, photos, and texts featured across 40 pages.
  • Exclusive Conversations: Zeynep Bozbay interviews Hunter Schafer and Tilman Singer about their film "Cuckoo," visits Bangerfabrique in Hamburg, and talks crime fiction with Jakob Nolte.
  • Special Excerpts: Four texts from the significant spring book "Trotzdem Sprechen," edited by Lena Gorelik, Miryam Schellbach, and Mirjam Zadoff.
