FRAME 165- new tendencies

The FRAME Special Issue 2026 celebrates the latest winners of the FRAME Awards 2025 and explores the future of spatial design through the lens of today’s most influential projects and designers. As the first issue of the year, it offers a comprehensive overview of the current state of interior architecture, retail design, hospitality, workspace, and residential innovation.

At the heart of this special edition are reflection and projection. Drawing on insights from the FRAME Awards jury and the FRAME editorial team, the issue highlights the projects and creative minds shaping contemporary spatial design—and points to where the discipline is headed next.

Many of the winning projects reveal how heritage and innovation can coexist. Tradition is not treated as something to preserve for its own sake, but as a foundation for progress. This philosophy is exemplified by Aim Architecture, named Designer of the Year. Their work demonstrates how emotional, cultural, and historical layers of a site can be activated to create spaces that are both meaningful and forward-looking.
