Fucking Young! Issue #27 explores the theme of DREAMS — not as distant fantasies, but as tools for survival, resistance, and creative evolution. Dreams ignite imagination, yet claiming space for them requires courage. In a world shaped by climate anxiety, economic instability, political unrest, and relentless social pressures, the traditional idea of “dreaming big” no longer feels realistic. Instead of abandoning dreams, this issue redefines them. Perfection is no longer the goal — possibility is.
As Editor-in-Chief Adriano Batista writes:
“Our moral obligation, as dreamers, is to be the alarm clock for those who perpetuate horror while asleep on the mattress of their privilege. We must ensure, at all costs, that our private utopias don’t moonlight as someone else’s dystopia. Because dreams — the real ones — push us forward. Nightmares keep us stuck.”
Issue #27 features in-depth conversations with designers Josh Tafoya, Sabato De Sarno, and Tyrone Susman; artists Cédric Rivrain and Scarlett Rouge; Creative Director Sara Sozzani Maino; musicians Jaydena and Rojuu; and actors Arón Piper and Óscar Casas. Each contributor reflects on creativity, ambition, and the evolving nature of their dreams.
Through powerful visual storytelling, contributing photographers — including Adrián Cuerdo, Aitana Valencia, Andrés García Luján, Anna Blanc Larrue, Andy Dyo, Cole Fawcett, Leire Cavia, Louis Teran, Michiel Meewis, Morgan Hil-Murphy, Rita Castel-Branco, Shengzhe, Stefano Giuliano, and Thomas Lizzi — create worlds where dreaming becomes an act of defiance rather than escapism. Additional written contributions come from Byron Hawes, Clara Drummond, and João Magalhães.
Close your eyes — and dream forward with us.
