Inventario reaches its seventeenth issue with a cover dedicated to the brick—a symbol of infinite design possibilities. As Stefano Salis describes in Exercises in Style, the brick is “anything but heavy”, offering surprising alternative uses. Damiano Gullì examines Oscar Abraham Pabón’s artistic reflections on structure, ornament, and repetition, while Beppe Finessi’s Bounces explores how artists and designers use the cube to generate new meanings.

This issue also delves into the first uses of barbed wire (Mirko Zardini), Ted Noten’s experimental jewelry (Paolo Bocchi), and the rich history of gold (Anna Sedino). Other highlights include bonsai scissors, adhesive tape holders, and the color violet in photography, featuring works by Jessica Backhaus and Manolo De Giorgi. The issue concludes with a tribute to Italo Lupi, a visionary architect and graphic designer.

Curated by Beppe Finessi, published by Corraini, and supported by Foscarini, Inventario continues to explore the intersections of design, art, and culture
