Karel Martens - Unbound Stedelijk Museum

Unbound accompanies Karel Martens’ first solo exhibition at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, showcasing a lifetime of work made and collected over decades. Collaged, overprinted, and combined with studio-found elements, the book sits between an artist book and exhibition catalog, offering an unstructured, playful, and personal view of Martens’ practice.

Designed by Jordi de Vetten and Susu Lee in close collaboration with Martens, it features texts by curator Thomas Castro and museum director Rein Wolfs, serving as a unique handbook to his work.
