Lisbeth Sachs: Animate Architecture – Rahel Hartmann Schweizer

Rahel Hartmann Schweizer portrays Lisbeth Sachs (1914–2002), one of the first independent female architects in Switzerland, who won the competition for the Kurtheater Baden in 1939 straight after graduating. The book follows her understanding of building as a process, from craft and material to the way people use space, and her view of architecture as applied ecology. It was published in connection with the Swiss contribution to the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale.
