Migrant Marseille – Architectures of Social Segregation and Urban Inclusivity

In November 2018 two buildings collapsed in central Marseille, killing eight people from five countries. Starting from this event, the book studies a city shaped for centuries by migration, poverty and social struggle, and sharply divided between a wealthy south and a poorer north. Essays, photographs and drawings examine places from Le Corbusier's Cité Radieuse to the La Castellane estate and suggest strategies for social and spatial integration.
