Curated by Ken Miller, PICTURES is a sweeping visual anthology that challenges what a photograph can be. Featuring more than 200 large-scale works by nearly 50 artists—from pioneers like Man Ray, Imogen Cunningham, and Saul Leiter to contemporary visionaries such as Wolfgang Tillmans, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Barbara Kasten, and Matthew Stone—the book explores photography’s evolution beyond mere representation.

Drawing inspiration from the medium’s 19th-century origins, these artists experiment with cameras, printing techniques, and natural light to create bold, abstract, and non-representational works.
