Play the System – Heike Grebin

A reader and illustrated archive on parametric and system-based graphic design, drawn from more than twenty years of teaching by Heike Grebin. Examples from design history and student work show how small changes to parameters such as size, colour, spacing or movement produce new outcomes. Conversations with Luna Maurer, Anja Groten, Frieder Nake and Tom Bieling discuss how tools and systems shape creative decisions; a companion website feeds the book through a web-to-print process.
