This issue is the 40th anniversary of the Brazilian architect Ruy Ohtakes design of the Embassy of Brazil in Japan, and many legendary architects and artists, including Mr. Ruy, have passed away in the past few years. In remembrance of them, plus81 looks back at interviews and works from the past. This issue includes interviews with new architects and artists in addition to the Brazilian creatives introduced over the past 20 years. Brazilians continue to surprise people with their innovation, scale, and originality. This is the appeal of Brazilian creativity, which has remained unchanged over the years.
