Featuring artists Masanao Hirayama (Tokyo), Justin Almquist (Marfa), and Martin Fengel (Munich), this publication traces their fax machine exchange of drawings sent in the spirit of Ueli Fuchser’s “Global-Art-Fusion” (1985). Created live between three continents during TOKIO ART BOOK FAIR (May 3, 2025) and too soon to say / Various Others at Hotel Bayerischer Hof (May 10, 2025), SORRY FAX ONLY captures the beauty of illustration and pays tribute to the fax machine as a revolutionary force of communication.
