Memory determines Japanese artist Keiichi Tanaami’s (1936–2024) profound creativity and originality. ‘CRASH’ focuses on the collage works that have emerged from the recording and editing of these memories, but is at the same time a grimoire for understanding Tanaami’s magical artistry, which fuses different phenomena that often seem impossibly incompatible.
