From 2021 to 2024, the London-based design studio OK-RM assembled a diverse group of artists, designers, architects, researchers, musicians, and dancers to develop new propositions for collective working and making. Commissioned by Goldwin 0, the initiative set out to explore how new forms of creativity and collaboration might influence contemporary culture. The project tested alternative modes and practices of collaborative work, seeking to generate forms and processes that could enrich participants, their communities, and a broader network of creative practitioners, while initiating a generative cycle of extended learning.

This book documents the five stages of exploratory research—referred to as Enquiries—in which collaborators pursued a dynamic synthesis of creativity, practice, and communication. Across these stages, participants produced films, performances, publications, poetry, images, sculptures, and musical compositions, forming a cross-disciplinary body of work that reflects the possibilities of collaborative artistic research. Exploring alternative approaches to publication and graphic design, the project is guided by the principle of orchestration: the creation of a unified work through the choreography of multiple voices, practices, and forms.

The material form of the book reflects the working methods developed throughout the Enquiries, emphasizing transparency, hybrid combinations, lightness, curiosity, and participation. Printed in silver and constructed as a single circular object, the publication invites readers to engage with it as an open-ended, non-linear reading experience. Rather than presenting a fixed narrative, the book encourages active exploration, allowing the reader to participate in the ongoing spirit of enquiry that shaped the project.
